Charles III gold 8 Escudos 1784 P-SF MS63 NGC, Popayan mint, KM50.2, Onza-820. A most attractive Choice Mint State with attractive old patina, highly lustrous surfaces and sharply struck details. Only scarce in circulated grades, this Popayan issue in much more elusive than its Nuevo Reino sibling in higher preservations. Currently the single finest certified example of the date and the second finest certified for the entire type by NGC.
