Republic copper Pattern Peso 1898 SP58 PCGS, KM-PnB10. Reeded edge. An incredible Pattern, struck to Specimen qualifications, with mahogany and purplish color that effortlessly canvasses the glossy surfaces. The design elements are extremely pleasing, exhibiting only light friction among the highest points, while the fields and bust contain minor ticks along with an isolated wisps or two. This highly-engaging selection was designed by Philip Martiny--sculptor and pupil of Augustus Saint Gaudens--and struck by Gorham & Company.
