Frederik III Speciedaler 1704 MS63 NGC, KM480.1, Dav-1288. A fully original Choice Mint State early speciedaler. This is a rare and desirable type, with fewer than a dozen examples having been auctioned off in the last 15 years. Beautiful cabinet tone with significant underlying luster, this is a coin that should appeal to both the Danish specialist as well as the general world crown collector. One small mark on the cheek of Frederik serves as a diagnostic for this piece, but it does not distract the eye. An all around lovely piece.
