Republic gold 100 Francs 1910-A MS65 NGC, Paris mint, KM858, Fr-590. An exceptional Gem Mint State example of this very popular series. While 1910 100 Francs aren't particularly rare, this coin is certainly a conditional rarity. Beautiful honey-gold toning with minimal marks give this coin great eye appeal. We note that in our last auction, in April of this year, we sold an example of this same date from The Baron Collection, graded MS64, for $5,250 hammer. The jump in price from an MS64 to an MS65, however, can be tremendous, as MS65s are seldom offered.
