Baden. Karl Friedrich Proof Taler 1803 FE-HB PR64+ Cameo NGC, KM136. A strong strike with evidence of a "ghosted" leaf on the reverse wreath, indicating that it was struck multiple times, as are all proofs. This is easily the finest piece of this type that has sold in the last decade and possibly the finest surviving example. A few toning spots on the obverse do not detract from the highly reflective surfaces and the lightly frosted devices.
