Hohenlohe-Neuenstein-Öehringen. Johann Friedrich I Taler 1770 MS66+ NGC, KM52, Dav-2352. Pleasing toning with subtle hints of colorful iridescence. Highly reflective fields with a very faint cameo effect on the devices; one is tempted to even assign it the strike characteristic of "prooflike." Easily the nicest example that has been on the market in quite some time, and very possibly the finest known. There is a little softness in the center of the reverse but everything else is strong and bold. A remarkably preserved coin.
Estimate: 7000-8000 USD
