George II gold 5 Guineas 1729-EIC AU55 PCGS, Royal mint, KM571.2, S-3664. An impressive 18th century gold crown minted from East India Company gold. A few scattered annealing marks on the obverse with a couple of adjustment marks in the center of the reverse. A number of the examples we have handled in recent years have been in Details holders, so a straight-graded piece is quite desirable. There is some light wear on the high points preventing this coin from achieving a higher numerical grade, but pleasing nonetheless with no singular marks worthy of mention.
