Extremely rare and the only virtually identical type we can reference is a slightly lesser condition example, dated 1811, sold in 2006 by Numismatica Genevensis, Auction 4 - Lot 697, described as "Possibly Unique." That example realized approximately $12,568.Fort William College (also called College of Fort William) was an academy and learning center of Oriental studies established by Lord Wellesley, then Governor-General of British India. It was founded on July 10, 1800, within the Fort William complex in Calcutta. Fort William College aimed at training British officials in Indian languages and in the process it fostered the development of languages such as Bengali and Urdu.
