George V Proof Crown 1935 PR64 Cameo NGC, KM6. The Waitangi Crown is arguably the key coin in any collection of 20th Century crowns. With a mintage in proof of just 468, there are enough out there where they are available if you want one for your collection, but not enough so that there isn't always heated demand when one comes on the market. With very, very minimal surface marks, this is certainly a high-end 64. Not just technically a near-Gem, but it has lovely lightly frosted devices, which in our experience is hard to find on this type. Indeed, NGC's census data reveals that out of a total of 71 graded examples in proof, only a mere 6 have been awarded the desirable "cameo" designation, further adding to the appeal of the present coin.
Estimate: 5000-6000 USD
