Charles III gold 8 Escudos 1762 LM-JM AU53 PCGS, Lima mint, KM68, Fr-24, Onza-674. Most pleasing for the type, this present selection expresses antiqued golden surfaces with coppery tone that dapples the legends. Residual luster effortlessly canvasses the surfaces, and evidence of minor handling in the way of small ticks blot the fields. Both the obverse and reverse express boldly-struck central design elements, and although there are extremely faint adjustment marks through the upper portion of the King's portrait, they are fairly unobtrusive for the issue. A choice example in all respects, and a wonderful representative from this fleeting series.
