Sigismund I the Old "Crown" 3 Grosze (Trojak) 1528 MS61 NGC, Gumowski-493, Kopicki-437, Iger K28.1 (R5), the first Polish coin with the portrait of the King. Obv. Crowned and armored bust of King Sigismund I right. Rev. Crowned eagle with head right. A seldom offered coin, conditionally very rare, and almost unknown in the exemplary condition. The strike is slightly uneven, as is normal for these early, crudely produced issues. The patina is an even reddish-gray, and no significant flaws are apparent. Undoubtedly, one of, if not the nicest surviving example of this important early type.
