Stephen Bathory. City of Olkusz Taler 1580 VF30 NGC, Gumowski 725 (RR), Kopicki 550 (R8), H-Cz 638 (R7), Davenport-8426, Exceedingly Rare. Obv. Crowned and armored half-length bust of Stephen Bathory right, holding scepter in right hand, with left hand on sword hilt. Rev. Crown dividing date 15-80, with arms of Poland and Lithuania, and small arms of the Crown Treasurer Jakob Rokossovsky, below. Even wear, with minor marks and gray patina. A few small rim bumps are noted. Truly, one of the great rarities of 16th century Polish numismatics. The only noticeable difference between this coin, and the previous coin, besides the date, is a difference in the reverse legend. Both are exceedingly rare.
