Republic Proof 2-1/2 Shillings 1892 MS64+ PCGS, KM7. A lovely problem-free example of this type. There are a few minuscule toning spots that serve as convenient pedigree markers. There is some faint toning begining to appear along the edges that provides a nice, light highlight to the devices. While we don't think that this piece will quite set a world record for the type (which is a title that is held by a PCGS PR65 Cameo that we sold in September, 2011 for $69,000), a strong price will certainly be paid for a coin as attractive as this.
Estimate: 6000-8000 USD
