Rama IV gold 2-1/2 Baht ND (1863) MS67 NGC, KM-Y13, Fr-17. A spectacular example of this one-year type featuring the emblematic elephant within a chakra and an intricately detailed crown flanked by two umbrellas. Despite being small in stature, this selection absolutely delights with buttery-gold coloring, impeccably-struck design elements, and a substantial amount of original mint bloom. Some porosity is noted on the obverse--most-likely due to rusty dies-- however, the overall appearance of this specimen remains superb. A rarely offered and widely-popular issue, absolutely engaging in this top-certified classification.
