BANKNOTES, 紙鈔, CHINA - PROVINCIAL BANKS, 中國 - 地方發行, Fokien Government Bank 褔建官銀行: $1, Guang Xu Year 33 (1907), Obv blue and black on tan underprint, two facing dragons, Rev blue with black text, with counterfoil, remainder (not listed in Pick or S/M). Small pieces missing from the corners, light brown stains in margins and two small holes in upper right corner, otherwise about extremely fine and rare.
Fukien Official Bureau 褔建官銀號 (褔建官錢局) was established in Foochow in Guang Xu Year 26 (1900) and was renamed Fokien Government Bank 褔建官銀行 in 1907 (cf History of Fukien Currency 褔建貨幣史略 p.96)
