JAPAN. Silver Minor Coinage, ca. 1871-1938.
32 pieces in lot. Includes: 5 (some of which are struck in copper-nickel), 10, 20 and 50 Sen pieces. Heaviest in 50 Sen pieces from the late Meiji era. The majority of pieces are problem free uncirculated examples, with many being very high grade and attractive. Also included are a Korean 10 and 20 Chon and a 1/2 Won. Each of the Korean pieces shows some hairlines and other evidence of cleaning, while only a small minority of the Japanese material shows any kind of surface issue. An excellent grouping of high grade pieces, perfect for a collector looking to fill any gaps with gem examples. Retail value in excess of $3,200. Well worth close inspection. SOLD AS IS/NO RETURNS. EXTREMELY FINE-BRILLIANT UNCIRCULATED.

Estimate: $1500.00- $2000.00
