THAILAND PATTERNS. 4 Baht Struck in Copper-Nickel with Reeded Edge & Medal Alignment, ND (1868). Rama V, Phra Maha Chulalonkorn (1868-1910). NGC PROOF-64.
49.0 gms. cf.KM-Pn32; K&M-pl. F32. White elephant within nine-bladed Chakra, encircled by Thirty-two stars denoting denomination; Reverse: Royal seal of King Rama V, a Thai coronet flanked by two umbrellas. EXTREMELY RARE. The only piece ever seen at NGC, with none seen at PCGS. A large piece exhibiting fully original surfaces, with luster commensurate with the copper-nickel alloy the pattern was struck in. Well struck with exceptional detail; the grass beneath the elephant reveals every blade. Likewise, the reverse devices all show razor sharp definition with nothing left to the imagination. A single nearly microscopic edge tick at 3 o'clock on the obverse mentioned for accuracy, but which does not distract from the overall appearance of the piece. NGC PROOF-64.

Estimate: $15000.00- $20000.00
