THAILAND PATTERNS. 2 Baht Struck in Nickel with Plain Edge & Coin Alignment, ND (1868). Rama V, Phra Maha Chulalonkorn (1868-1910). NGC PROOF-65.
23.6 gms. KM-Pn31; cf.K&M-pl. F32. White elephant within nine-bladed Chakra, encircled by sixteen stars denoting denomination; Reverse: Royal seal of King Rama V, a Thai coronet flanked by two umbrellas. VERY RARE. Only piece grade by NGC, with none seen at PCGS. A wonderfully preserved example with full claims to gem proof. Bright overall coloration with luster consistent with the alloy of the planchet. No marks to speak of, a razor sharp strike, and without any major spots or any other impairment. It is difficult to imagine a nicer looking example of this rare pattern. NGC PROOF-65.

Estimate: $3500.00- $5000.00
