THAILAND PATTERNS. 1/2 Baht Struck in Nickel with Plain Edge & Medal Alignment, ND (1868). Rama V, Phra Maha Chulalonkorn (1868-1910). NGC PROOF-65.
7.8 gms. KM-Pn26; cf.K&M-pl. F32. White elephant within nine-bladed Chakra, encircled by four stars denoting denomination; Reverse: Royal seal of King Rama V, a Thai coronet flanked by two umbrellas. RARE. Remarkably well struck given the hardness of the metal. Attractive luster with light champagne tone consistent with the nickel composition. Highly desirable in this lofty state of preservation. NGC PROOF-65.
