THAILAND PATTERNS. 1/2 Baht Struck in Copper with Plain Edge & Medal Alignment, ND (1868). Rama V, Phra Maha Chulalonkorn (1868-1910). NGC PROOF-65 RB.
8 gms. KM-Pn25; cf.K&M-pl. F32. White elephant within nine-bladed Chakra, encircled by four stars denoting denomination; Reverse: Royal seal of King Rama V, a Thai coronet flanked by two umbrellas. RARE. A breath away from full red, with yellow brassy fields giving way to apricot tone towards the edges with a this trace of coffee bean brown along the top of the rim. A really captivating piece, easily one of the nicest in the collection regardless of assigned grade. NGC PROOF-65 RB.
