CHINA. Hollow Handle Square Shoulder Spade Money, Spring-Autumn Period (ca. 650-400 B.C.).
H-2.84; Jen-8; cf.FD-29. 'Tu" or "Shi". A well preserved example with no signs of repair or tooling. Deep blue patina with some green contrast and a few hints of bronze showing through. The well preserved character and pattern of patina suggest this piece was part of a stack or pile with other pieces pressed against either side which would account for it being so well preserved. VERY FINE.
Estimate: $500.00- $700.00
