CHINA. 10 Tael Ingot, ca. 17th-18th Century.
357.27 gms. An uninscribed waisted boat style ingot. The style seems to place its time of manufacture in the late Ming to early Qing periods. A finely executed ripple pattern graces the face of the ingot while the base bears the typical honeycomb appearance which reaches nearly to the top of both end wings. Nicely toned with some multicolored hues and good luster in protected areas. Some light soil deposits on ends and base. A very handsome if enigmatic specimen. EXTREMELY FINE.
