CHINA. Different Silver China-Related Peruvian Silver Medals, 1901-24.
6 pieces in lot. Five are approximately 22 mm (1/5 Sol size) and include a piece with an eleven line Spanish inscription noting the inauguration of the "NAM JOY" Society in 1923, with a Chinese inscription on the reverse; another with a nine line Spanish inscription noting the 1924 reorganization of the Nationalist Chinese Kuo Min Tang Party in Peru with a Chinese inscription as well as Nationalist and Kuo Min Tang flags on the reverse. The third 22 mm piece was struck in remembrance of the HI HENG Association in Lima, 1922, with five Chinese characters on the reverse. Another noting the silver anniversary of Juan M. Chavez by the Chinese Colony in 1901 as well as a uniface piece with a Spanish inscription citing the blessing of the home of Federico Tong, sponsored by Mr. and Mrs. Tomas Yui Swayne. The final piece is a larger 30 mm medallet with a six line Spanish inscription citing the inauguration of the Peruvian Chinese Merchants Association in 1913, with a Chinese inscription on the reverse. All six pieces are neatly pierced for suspension. Inspection advised. SOLD AS IS/NO RETURNS. EXTREMELY FINE-ALMOST UNCIRCULATED.
