CHINA. Order of the Blue Dragon Badge, ND (Instituted 1911).
42.25 x 62.15 mm. Barac-66-67; cf.Li-pg. 49. Eight rayed silver star with multicolor enameled disc in center displaying a blue dragon on an orange background; Reverse: Seal script inscription on orange enamel background. Silver cloud shaped hanger above with ring and a red trimmed white ribbon which seems to be a replacement. We are unsure as to what class this badge is intended for but based upon the simplicity of the dragon and the faceted silver star it would seem to be one of the lower classes, possible a seventh or eighth class. Nicely toned and without noticeable loss to the enamel. EXTREMELY FINE.
