L&M-18; K-936; KM-Pn298; WS-0023. Original strike in silver. According to the reference "Rare Gold and Silver Coins of the Late Quing Dynasty", published by the Chang Foundation, there are two strikings of this series. Original strikings and later restrikes made from original dies, this being the former, an original strike. Some doubling of the strike is evident, though it remains a stunning original piece with attractive slate toning. NGC AU-53.
