CHINA. Lot of (20) Minor Coinage, ca. 1851-1929.
20 pieces in lot. Includes some cast cash coins of Emperor Xianfeng, provincial and Republican silver 10, 20 and 50 Cents, a handful of provincial 10 Cash. Also included is a Mexican cob 8 Reales bearing test cuts and chopmarks and a Japanese Ichibu. Of note is a Fukien 10 Cash with added characters on the rim (C-10-8), a Fukien "FK CUSTOMS HOUSE" 10 Cash with large characters (Y-97) and a 10 Cash brockage of the Hunan Republic era type. A group with pieces in good condition and no surface issues to speak of. Close inspection is recommended as some of the older cast pieces are possibly newer recasts. Retail value of nearly $1,400. SOLD AS IS/NO RETURNS. VERY FINE-UNCIRCULATED.
