QING: Xian Feng, 1851-1861, AE 50 cash (33.01g), Ili mint, Xinjiang Province, H-22.1090, 46mm, cast 1854-1855, large characters, VF, ex Wéiduolìya Collection. Since Ili was not on the Southern Xinjiang 'red cash' (hóng qián) system, all coins from this mint are cast in the standard brass (huáng tóng) alloy as was used in the remainder of China during the Taiping Rebellion.
