QING: Tong Zhi, 1862-1874, AE charm (15.71g), tong zhi zhong bao / qi xiang tong bao, crude VF, RRR, ex Jiùjinshan Collection. Reverse of this charm contains the first nian hao (reign title) of Tong Zhi. Very few coins minted with this reign title were produced and none were officially put into circulation. Likely a contemporary or later Qing Dynasty issue as the fabric and metal are consistent with the period. Listed in Zhongguo guqian daji book, volume 4, page 1739.
