TROAS, Abydos. Late 6th-early 5th centuries BC. AR Hemiobol(?) (7mm, 0.44 g). Forepart of eagle left / Quadripartite incuse square. Cf. SNG Ashmolean 953; cf. SNG von Aulock 1439; cf. SNG Copenhagen 1–2; cf. SNG München 2; cf. Klein 292; cf. Rosen 526 (all larger denominations). Good Fine, toned, porous. Extremely rare denomination, unpublished in the standard references, only one in CoinArchives (Pecunem 10, lot 172).

The larger denominations of this issue group around 1.85 and 1.20 grams, respectively, Thus, if the present piece is a hemiobol, the others would be diobols and trihemiobols, respectively.
