Halfcrown 1953 Frosted Proof CGS variety 05. Davies dies 2A (as the standard Proof dies) with the obverse and reverse design much more heavily frosted than the standard coin, most noticeable on the reverse in the crown detail, an unusual piece, nFDC the obverse with a couple of minor contact marks, retaining much original mint brilliance. We note an example slabbed and graded CGS 92 sold in our Auction A148 1/3/2015 (Lot 2694) for £421 inclusive of buyers premium
