Sovereign 1879S C over O in VICTORIA unlisted by Spink or Marsh, listed in McDonald as Mc126d, NGC MS62, Obverse UNC or near so and lustrous, the reverse better, believed to be only 2 examples known, this being by far the finest known example, a superb piece with much lustre and eye appeal, would enhance any top quality Sovereign collection, we note the lower grade GVF example sold for £7000 in Australia in 2009.
