The Quarterbridge Hotel, on the banks of the River Glass at the historic boundary between the parishes of Kirk Braddan and Kirk Onchan, Douglas, was erected in the early 1840s on the site of the former Union Hotel. It is still very much in business today and is a well-known hostelry on the world-famous Isle of Man TT course
