Arthur Brown, proprietor of Brown's drapery shop, 4-5 Market street, fl. 1887-94. By 1900 he had moved to Seamount, Ramsey, and opened a second shop, Glasgow House, in Ramsey's Market place, and disposed of the Peel business (Alan Kelly, pers. comm.)
