AR stater (23mm, 8.02 gm, 3h). φΡO - TON (partially retrograde) on either side of tripod with three handles and legs ending in the form of lion's paws / Eagle flying right, incuse. HN Italy 2108. P. Attianese, Calabria Greca, 14. BM 33 (these dies). A superior example of this rare and intriguing relief / incuse type, well struck and attractively toned. NGC AU 5/5 - 4/5.
