SARONIC ISLANDS. Aegina. Circa 525-480 BC. AR stater (20mm, 12.24 gm). Sea turtle with heavy collar, row of six dots down center of shell / Eight-part divided punch, four incuse and four raised sections. HGC 6, 433. Meadows, group IIb. SNG Delepierre 1513. Scarce early variety. A very pleasing example, well centered on an unusually round and well-shaped flan, and beautifully toned. NGC Choice VF 5/5 - 5/5.
