SELEUCID KINGDOM. Seleucus I Nicator, as Satrap (321-315 BC). AR stater or double-shekel (24mm, 15.29 gm, 2h). Babylon II mint. Ba'al seated left, holding scepter in right hand, left hand on throne / Lion advancing left; horizontal anchor above; monogram and crescent in exergue. SC 88.2a. HGC 9, 67a. Scarce, with a remarkably detailed reverse strike. Reddish earthen deposits in lower reverse fields, otherwise quite exceptional for type. NGC Choice XF 3/5 - 2/5.
