PHOENICIA. Tyre. 'Ozmilk (Azemilkos). Ca. 349-310 BC. AR shekel or didrachm (21mm, 8.90 gm, 12h). Reduced ('Attic') standard. Dated RY 12 (338/7 BC). Melqart astride hippocamp right, holding bow in extended left hand and reins in right; below, waves above dolphin right / Owl standing right, head facing; crook and flail behind, Phoenician numeral 12 followed by O to right. HGC 10, 349. DCA 918. Elusive in high grade. Minor mineralized deposit on reverse, otherwise exceptional strike, detail and metal quality for this type. NGC AU 4/5 - 5/5.
