Diademed head of the deified Alexander right, wearing elephant skin headdress / AΛEΞANΔPOY, Athena Alkidemos advancing right, brandishing spear held in right hand and holding shield at high port on left arm, Corinthian helmet, monogram, and eagle standing on thunderbolt to right, star in inner left field. Svoronos 174. SNG Copenhagen 36. Well struck and possessing attractive old cabinet toning. Overstruck on an earlier coin, with faint signs of undertype visible. NGC Choice XF★ 5/5 - 4/5, Fine Style, overstruck.
