Head of Medusa facing, coiled snake on either side, L · PLAVTIVS below / Victory (or Aurora) flying forward, holding palm branch in left hand and leading four horses, PLANCVS below. Crawford 453/1a. RSC Plautia 15. CRI 29. An extraordinary example of this most attractive type, well centered on a broad flan and deeply struck in bright metal from dies of lovely style. NGC Choice MS 5/5 - 5/5.
