OSTROGOTHIC KINGDOM. Theodoric I the Great (AD 493-526). AV solidus (21mm, 4.46 gm, 6h). Northern Italian mint (Bononi?), in the name of Zeno, (East Roman Emperor AD 474-491). D N ZENO PERP AVC, pearl-diademed, helmeted and cuirassed bust facing, head slightly right, holding spear over right shoulder and shield with horseman motif on left arm / VICTORI AAVGGG Γ4, Victory standing left, holding long jeweled cross; in right field, star and in exergue, CONOR. Cf. Lacam 32 and I pls. 209-213. Very rare! Graffiti in left obverse field. NGC AU 5/5 - 2/5, graffiti.
