Constantinople, 8th officina, AD 674-681. ∂N CONC-T-NЧS P, diademed bust of Constantine facing slightly right, wearing helmet with frontal plume and cuirass, holding spear over right shoulder and shield with horseman motif on left / VICTOA A-VGЧ, cross potent on three steps, between Heraclius and Tiberius, both beardless and wearing crown and chlamys, and holding globus cruciger, H//CONOB. Sear 1154. DOC 8d. MIB 7a. An unusually sharp specimen of this usually poorly struck type; evidently a very rare officina. NGC MS 5/5 - 3/5 clipped.
