Karl VI gold Coronation Medal of 10 Ducats 1723 UNC, Vienna mint. 37mm/35.6g. By B. Richter and A. Wideman. An official issue minted in Vienna, struck to commemorate the 1723 Bohemian coronation of Charles VI and 1000th anniversary of the founding of Prague. Featuring the conjoined busts of the imperial couple and a crowned Bohemian blazon encircled by a snake with palm branches and scepters behind. Struck in 1915, and showing lightly handling marks and a minor reverse flan flaw. Even so, a pleasing historical commemorative medal with beautiful design motifs and luminous harvest-gold surfaces.
