Republic gold Medal 1963 UNC Details (Mount Removed) NGC, Issued by Baron, Gr-827 (40mm diameter). Brilliant Uncirculated with evidence of mount removal visible at 12 and 6 o'clock and scattered scuffing surface marks. Struck to commemorate the partial reoccupation of Chamizal by Mexico. Rare in this metal and quite collectible despite the noted defects. No marks indicating the fineness are found yet probably 0.900 fine.
