A Mexico 8 Reales 1765 Mo-MF countermarked on the obverse with an "MR" monogram per the decree of August 20, 1765 (not 1767 as indicated on the insert). Host coin AU, countermark nice AU and thus very scarce. An unusually well preserved specimen of this scarce countermarked issue, seldom encountered in this engaging quality.
