Catherine II Rouble 1778 СПБ-ΘЛ AU55 NGC, St. Petersburg mint, Bitkin-226, Diakov-374. Obv. Crowned bust of Catherine II right. Rev. Crowned double-headed Imperial eagle with date and value. Fully lustrous, with a hint of golden patina. Little actual wear is noted, but the reverse exhibits minor flan flaws. Much nicer than one might expect of an AU coin.
