Alexander III gold 5 Roubles 1889 AГ-AГ MS64 PCGS, St. Petersburg mint, Bitkin-34, Fr-169, KM-Y42. This is the much scarcer variety with "AГ" (Appolon Grasgov) on the truncation of the neck of the Alexander III portrait. Nicely defined details, with even orange-golden patina, over fully lustrous surfaces, and only a few very minor contact marks. A pleasing near-Gem example of this conditionally rare variety.
