Asserting the lowest date mintage in the series, this jewel-like selection displays ample luster that resides beneath heavily-toned surfaces and impeccably-bold design features due to an exacting strike. A few minor ticks within the fields are nicely-camouflaged by the surrounding patina, although most likely preclude the Gem designation. Even so, this is an outstanding representative of the type, and as such, worthy of much attention.
