SELEUCID KINGDOM. Antiochus VIII Epiphanes-Grypus (121-96 BC). AR tetradrachm (16.60 gm). Antioch, first sole reign, AD 121-113. Diademed head of Antiochus right, bead and reel border / Zeus Uranius standing left, holding star in right hand and scepter in left, crescent on head, all within laurel wreath. HGC 10 1197e. A few field scrapes and deposits on reverse, otherwise a handsome piece with a lifelike portrait, beautifully toned. NGC Choice AU 5/5 - 3/5, Fine Style.
