Zauditu silver 1/2 Birr EE1917 (1925) Fine - Damaged, Addis Abada mint, KM-Y22a var. (silver), Gill p. 129. 30mm/11.85g. Evidently used in jewelry, with a mount removal at 12 o'clock and intentional marks over the denomination in exergue on the reverse, similar to that seen on gold strikings of the type (KM-Y22) that were supposedly effaced at the mint. Very rare as a type, and Gill mentions this issue as the only type of Zaudita that can be truly considered a regular issue piece.
Estimate: 500-700 USD
