James II silver Medal 1685 VF - Cleaned, Eimer-281. Struck upon the king's ordering the beheading of the Dukes of Monmouth and Argyle. The king is dressed as a Roman general on the obverse with four scepters resting upon a pedestal. The reverse depicts Justice performing the beheadings. Medallist is Arondeaux, diameter is 61 mm. Rare.
